Allison Cohen
I’m a PhD candidate in Counseling Psychology at the University of Utah, where I’m advised by Dr. Jason Burrow-Sánchez. I’m also an instructor for the Department of Educational Psychology. I currently provide clinical services as a practicum clinician at the Craig H. Neilsen Rehabilitation Hospital, the University of Utah Bariatric Psychology Clinic, and the George E. Wahlen Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
I’m interested in the psychological and physical health impacts of environmental stressors and barriers in healthcare settings. My existing research focuses on addiction psychology and associated health outcomes.
In my free time you can find me running, cycling, reading, or taking photos. I graduated from the University of Michigan in 2018 with dual degrees in Program in the Environment and International Studies.
